DECON™

We innovate with purpose to increase the uptime of your equipment by keeping the oil clean, extending its life and inherently positively impacting the environment.

Why use DECON™?

DECON™ is the gamechanger for our industry. With just 3-5% added to your machinery lubrication sump, it can clean the internals from varnish buildup removing this from your system. Traditionally, flushes were performed, which included the use of harsh chemicals and manual labour. This impacted significantly on the production time for facilities. With DECON, there is no need to shut down your equipment. It can be cleaned by simply adding it to your system.

How does it work?

Its formulation is based on the patented Solvancer® technology which uses Hansen’s solubility principles to increase the solubility of varnish in the system, so it doesn’t stick to the insides and gets dissolved back into the oil. When varnish or deposits are removed, systems usually see a decrease in temperature as varnish would have acted as an insulator in the past. DECON™ will protect the oil from forming varnish producing long term deposit control performance.

Why use DECON™ AO?

DECON™ AO can help you extend the life of your oil without compromising its properties. Engineered with our patented Solvancer® technology, it is designed to keep deposits from building up in your system while also replenishing your antioxidant levels.

One of the challenges many users face is the depletion of antioxidants due to oxidation. When this occurs, the oil is no longer protected, and deposits can form faster. With only 3-5% treat rate, your oil can be replenished without affecting any of the other properties.

How does it work?

Its formulation is based on the patented Solvancer technology which uses Hansen’s solubility principles to increase the solubility of varnish in the system, so it doesn’t stick to the insides and gets dissolved back into the oil. Why use DECON™ AW or DECON™ ZF?

Our hydraulic oils are one of the more sensitive oils. They are easily susceptible to contamination and have to endure harsh conditions which put their additives to work. With hydraulic oils one of the main additives is the antiwear additive which protects the internals of the machine from wear. However, these are usually quickly depleted. DECON™ AW & DECON™ ZF have been formulated with our patented Solvancer® technology to keep deposits under control (keeping the oil clean) while also replenishing the antiwear additive. This way, two of the major issues with hydraulic oils are solved with one solution. DECON AW is used for regular hydraulic oils while DECON ZF is used for zinc-free or ashless hydraulic oils.

How does it work?

Its formulation is based on the patented Solvancer technology which uses Hansen’s solubility principles to increase the solubility of varnish in the system, so it doesn’t stick to the insides and gets dissolved back into the oil. When varnish or deposits are removed, systems usually see a decrease in temperature as varnish would have acted as an insulator in the past. Why use DECON™ HD?

Imagine having the revolutionary power of DECON™ for those heavier oils used in gearboxes!

DECON™ HD has been specifically blended for those ISO 150-320 grade viscosities and should be used at a treat rate of 6-10%.

It provides the oil with the power to remove deposits from the internals of the equipment as it has been formulated with our patented Solvancer® technology.

One of the main challenges with gearboxes is that if their internals get covered in varnish, it usually amounts to a lot of downtime to clean and flush this out.

With DECON HD, it’s very simple to get these gearboxes cleaned up.

DECON HD have been specifically engineered for those gearbox applications with the higher ISO 150-320 viscosity grades. It will not affect the viscosity of the application nor the oil properties while cleaning the internals of the equipment.

DECON HD will protect the oil from forming varnish producing long term deposit control performance and is specifically for heavier blended oils (ISO VG 150 – 320).

Why use ESP?

These units are equipped with specially formulated media which help to remove varnish and other contaminants from the system. Each unit is designed for different systems depending on the requirements. These can vary from Pneumatic, Explosion Proof, even to systems which do not require an external source of power. Different types of filters can also be used depending on the issue being solved such as ENDURE IX, Depth Media or Antistatic filters.

How does it work?

Electrophysical Separation Process™ (ESP)

ESP technology relies on the principles of “chemisorption.” ESP selectively removes oil degradation products that are in suspension or in solution without disturbing the fluid’s additive system. For optimal performance, ESP media is fully customized for each application and is selected based on oil type and condition. As oil degradation byproducts (depleted antioxidants and oxidized base oil) make contact with ESP media, the specific mix chemically targets and removes the contaminants through strong adsorption forces. This ensures it will not be released back into the oil. ESP has a high capacity as it uses the full volume of the media, not just surface area.

Why use RULER?

With enhanced processing, higher resolution, RULER® V provides critical information on the health of your lubricant. Discover oxidation earlier than with any other technologies. The RULER V provides the full picture of a fluid’s antioxidant health – it’s a window into the health of your lubricant. This technology is a critical part of an effective condition monitoring program.

In the past, indirect measurements of the fluid’s antioxidants were taken. Tests such as RPVOT (ASTM D2272) measure the oxidative stability of the fluid inferring antioxidant levels. This technology has been shown to be less effective in today’s complex formulations employing hydro-treated mineral oils and new antioxidant technologies.

Other techniques to directly measure antioxidants such as infrared analysis (FTIR) often cannot provide the full picture. FTIR interpretation is complex and some additive components mask the critical antioxidant region.

Field Tested. Industry Supported.

Be comfortable that your RULER V investment is supported by industry, the RULER technology has received strong industry support over the last 15 years. There are four ASTM standards written around it (D7590, D6971, D6810 and D7527) as well as industry guidelines (DASTM4378 D6224 and DIN – VGB M416). Major equipment OEMs such as Siemens and GE recommend RULER as part of a condition monitoring program. Furthermore, most oil and additive manufacturers use the RULER technology as both a condition monitoring and research tool to gain further insights into their lubricant formulations.

  • and a built-in report template that provides space for integration of the MPC patch picture and comments.

All of this elegance and durability, yet it weighs less than 1.5lbs (0.7kg)

Why use MPC?

The Membrane Patch Colorimetry (MPC) test is a quick, cost-effective way of assessing your oil’s varnish potential. MPC Color allows real time on- site determination of present condition of your rotating equipment through the use of color range testing of solid surfaces and liquids. The technology has been customized for Fluitec to provide lubricant varnish potential testing, when used in combination with the MPC Patch or suitable laboratory equipment. Why use Stealth EHC?

This dry gas blanketing system is designed to keep moisture out especially for Phosphate ester systems. Moisture is the root cause for many contamination issues in EHC systems. Because phosphate esters are hydroscopic, moisture control is a critical step in phosphate ester maintenance. Stealth EHC™ uses patented technology that removes moisture from phosphate ester fluids by introducing a steady stream of clean, dry air in the reservoir. This enhances reservoir breathing systems by actively and continuously purging and dehydrating the reservoir headspace and removing water from the fluid.

How does it work?

Our Stealth EHC system blankets your reservoir headspace with our super-dry clean air. A low pressure air purge in the headspace accomplishes two important tasks simultaneously: It extracts moisture from the fluid while excluding other contaminants from getting in the system. The result is exceptionally clean, dry oil. The system is inexpensive to install, has no moving parts or electrical connections, and requires no maintenance. Quite simply, the Stealth EHC is the highest value contamination control technology you will install at your plant.
