Fill4Life™ – Perform for Life

The concept of Fill4Life is to have fluids which can last for the lifetime of the asset. Fluitec has engineered technology which can minimize contaminant ingression, remove oil degradation by-products and replenish sacrificial additive components.

A true Fill4Life system will both replace antioxidants and remove oil degradation by-products while extending the life of the oil. These systems aim to support our customer’s quality and maintenance programs by minimizing their overall costs, waste and impact on the environment.

Benefits of Fill4Life

In some of the Fill4Life systems which have been deployed, they have seen an extension of their turbine oil life for around 30 years. This means that over the 30 year period, they have reduced the downtime associated with changing the oil on a 5 year basis (previous interval), purchasing new oil on that basis and have seen a reduction in the number of breakdowns due to lubrication degradation.

For every gallon of our Fill4Life products used, 50 gallons (190 Liters) of waste oil are saved from the earth. This can lower CO₂emissions and reduce waste. In fact, more than 100k tons of CO₂ has been reduced through our products. Thus, the Fill4Life system becomes one in which customers can benefit from savings while doing their part to save the planet.

To date, we have saved 1,400 outage days through the use of these products. Infinity Turbine Oil™ is one such product which guarantees 10 year deposit free turbine oil which can benefit your system and achieve cost savings. We have had over 1.5M gallons of oil saved through our products and over $100M in documented savings.

Our customers can experience the peace of mind that comes along with no unplanned shutdowns or maintenance, longer oil drain intervals (as shown in this WBCSD study) and of course no need to perform flushes on their equipment. These Fill4Life fluids can be viewed as assets and no longer consumables due to their increased longevity.

How can you achieve Fill4Life?

Most systems have the potential to be turned into Fill4Life systems with the use of our products. By deploying the combination of DECON AO™ or DECON AW™ with the VITA ESP™ units, systems can remain contaminant free while having a healthy balance of antioxidants. Alternatively by filling systems with Infinity Turbine Oil, this can help in extending the life of your lubricant.

Fluitec’s proven technologies have been independently verified by Solar Impulse and B Corporation. Our DECON AO and Infinity Turbine Oil have been awarded the Solar Impulse’s, “1000 Solutions Challenge”. In this program, the solutions must meet the foundation’s rigorous mission criteria of profitability, market usage and positive ecological impact.

With the Fill4Life model, we adopt these processes:

Measure the condition of the oil to establish a baseline using the MPC and RULER lab equipment.
Consult with our team of experts to determine the best way forward to achieve a Fill4Life system.
Remove the contaminants by utilizing ESP technology or DECON
Replenish the additives (Repair your oil) by adding DECON AO or DECON AW / DECON ZF or using a new charge of oil with Infinity Turbine Oil
Report the condition of the system and monitor its health
