Major Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant

Problem

A pharmaceutical manufacturer in Singapore faced a challenge with a highly polluted system. Oil analysis revealed increased TAN levels and elevated particle counts. Due to the nature of their business, they couldn’t afford to shut down for a full system flush.

Solution

The manufacturer added DECON™ to the system, which quickly decontaminated it. They removed the contaminated oil and commissioned a new batch with DECON added to prevent recurrence.

Results

After adding DECON, the system was cleaned, and the oil was changed. A fresh batch of oil with 3% DECON was added as a preventive measure. The MPC levels have remained stable below 7, and the TAN levels have been maintained below threshold values.

Saved $69,000 in operating expenses and 2,250 liters of oil
