Early on the morning of Dec 8, Dale F. Bohn, who holds a position on the ASTM International Board of Directors, presented the Award of Merit to Jo Ameye, General Manager Europe at Fluitec NV.

Chairman of the D02.C0 subcommittee on Turbine Fuels for more than 10 years, Ameye also leads the section on Oxidation of Turbine Fuels. D02 has recognized his past contributions with an Award of Appreciation and two Awards of Excellence. He has co-authored several ASTM journal articles and special technical papers.

Mr. Ameye has more than 25 years of experience in lubricant condition monitoring technologies. He joined Fluitec NV, a company that specializes in fluid lubricant condition monitoring and fluid particle contamination control, as international sales and marketing manager in 1997, and assumed his current role in 2011.

A graduate of Thomas More Mechelen – Antwerp University in Belgium, Ameye holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. Outside ASTM, he is a member of the European Lubricating Grease Institute, the German Institute for Standardization (DIN) and the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers.

In a letter to Ameye, ASTM International Chairman of the Board, Ronald J. Ebelhar, writes, “Your extensive knowledge and commitment to excellence in standards and development have had a major impact in your field and have made ASTM International a technical leader in today’s global business world.”
