Based on spectrometric wear metal analysis only, the oil analysis data can not reflect accurately the operating conditions of the new generation of jet engines.
RULER analysis has been accepted and implemented worldwide by a majority of aircraft engine manufacturers, to monitor the oxidative health.
Jet engine oils, aircraft or helicopters, require typically a very high degree of availability, and where oil condition monitoring can be of strong influence.
Reducing maintenance actions and costs are belonging to the top priorities of the airline and helicopter operators, and proactive maintenance strategies are key to this.
At the same time with the increasing thrust to weigh factors and the reduction of oil consumption (leakages), the oxidative stress on jet turbine oils is increasing continuously.
If you wish more technical information, on how the RULER can
be implemented to your aircraft engine oil monitoring program,
send an email to info@fluitec.com.
- That the combination of antioxidant monitoring and the parameter of soft submicron contaminants (from lubricant auto-oxidation) concentration are key parameters for Gas Turbine Life assessment. Even better is today to work on early stage filtration, through electrostatic cleaning devices, and remove these submicron precursors of the soft contaminants.
